Just Dance Summer Party Review

I absolutely love to dance (and sing)! I very much enjoy singing my heart out and dancing like I'm super awesome (as though I think I'd own any dance floor that I'd step onto)...when I'm home alone that is. The truth is...I'm not exactly talented in the art of singing, nor dancing (lol) -- but that certainly doesn't stop me trying and putting my all into it! That's why I've been a big fan of so many of the video games over the last few years that have anything to do with music and/or dancing, especially the Just Dance games for the Wii. Recently, I had the opportunity to review Just Dance's newest game, Just Dance Summer Party, and I couldn't wait for it to arrive so I could get dancing with this new limited edition game!

Once the game arrived, I was so exited try it out and played it that very day I received it! And I can tell you that Just Dance Summer Party is an absolute blast, and it's exactly the type of game that I enjoy playing with family and friends (just check out the photos at the bottom of this review to see even my mom dancing away!!). It's easy to play (just grab that Wii remote and start moving), but it's challenging as well, which is always a good combination. Even if you think you can't dance, it doesn't matter because there's no real skill required - just try to match what you see on the screen and you'll have a ton of fun and, perhaps, there will even be a bit of laughter, too! Can you imagine just how awesome it would be to play at a party?! And the best part of this game is that you're having so much fun that you don't even realize that you're actually exercising!

This game has a lot of cool features/modes. One that I really liked was the Just Sweat mode, which is a dance workout that has with three different program levels to choose from (mild, tough, and intense), and it keeps track of your progress. Even on the mild program, you’ll find out exactly why it's named as it is -- it certainly made me work up a sweat in no time! I also loved the Duet mode -- SO many laughs came out of that!!

The song selection has a nice variety of styles and really seems to have something for everyone. A lot of the songs have a great beat to dance to and really get you energized to keep on dancing. My favorite songs were Firework, Barbie Girl, Pon De Replay, and Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)! I also love that it has the lyrics that come up on the screen, so that others can sing along if they wish while you dance the night away.

If you’re looking for a game that’s entertaining for all ages and combines laughter, fun, and a good workout, Just Dance Summer Party is definitely a game to check out! You can play alone or with a group of friends/family (up to 4 players) -- either way, you'll have a fantastic time!
