The Looney Tunes Show: Season 1, Volume 3 DVD Review

The Looney Tunes Show: Season 1, Volume 3
Release date:
3/13/12
Genre: Children/Family

Synopsis:
A new half-hour animated comedy series starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. No longer confined to 7-minute shorts, Bugs and Daffy are out of the woods and living in the suburbs among such colorful neighbors as Yosemite Sam, Granny, Tweety and Sylvester. In addition to each episode's main story, The Looney Tunes Show also features "cartoons within a cartoon." The Tasmanian Devil, Speedy Gonzales, Marvin the Martian and other classic characters sing original songs in two-minute music videos called Merrie Melodies. The legendary Looney Tunes cartoons are getting a 21st century relaunch and a CGI overhaul for a new generation.
Episodes:
  1. The Foghorn Leghorn Story - Silent But Deadly
  2. Eligible Bachelors - Winter Blunderland
  3. Peel of Fortune - We R in Love - Heavy Metal
  4. Double Date - Be Polite - Wile E. Sisyphus
The Looney Tunes gang is back in this third volume DVD from the first season of The Looney Tunes Show. I love the classic Looney Tunes, and this new show is just as great! My favorite episode was Eligible Bachelors, where Lola and Granny bid on dates with Bugs and Daffy (and win!). I have just got to say that I adore Lola! She is awesome and quite hilarious (by the way, her character is voiced by Kristen Wiig)! If you're looking for laughs, The Looney Tunes Show: Season 1, Volume 3 is a DVD to watch (and for more laughs, be sure to check out the first two volumes on DVD, which were released a few months ago). Plus, you can tune in to the Cartoon Newtork to catch new episodes!

Young Justice: Season 1, Volume 3 DVD Review

Young Justice: Season 1, Volume 3
Release date:
2/21/12
Genre:
Children/Family

Synopsis:
Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis have become YOUNG JUSTICE - The Justice League's secret weapon against the forces of evil. The teen heroes will take on under-the-radar missions that would be impossible for the Justice League to handle covertly. Red Tornado will be their supervisor, Black Canary will be in charge of their training and Batman will hand out their assignments.
Superhero shows are always fun to watch, and Young Justice is no exception. I wasn't too familiar with the show, nor had I seen any episodes of it, until I had the chance to review the Young Justice Season 1, Volume 2 DVD awhile back, and I've found that it is quite an excellent animated series. The newest volume (Volume 3), which recently made it's way onto DVD on February 21, continues where the second volume left off and seems to keep getting better. Action-filled episodes and great characters keep you drawn in to this cool superhero series. Young Justice: Season 1, Volume 3 includes four episodes from the first season (Bereft, Targets, Terrors, and Home Front), so check it out if you're a superhero fan, and for new episodes, tune in to the Cartoon Network.
